Nutrition is one of the cornerstones of Word of God Daycare. We believe in home cooking the old fashioned way. That means Wholesome products, whole foods, and food cooked with care. Your children will have a well balanced diet in order to provide them with the nutritional needs of their growing bodies and minds. We will also encourage and reinforce good eating habits, including introduction of vegetables, fresh fruit, healthy snacks, proper table etiquette, and sitting throughout the meal.
We provide a variety of wholesome meals, including the following: Breakfast – oatmeal, cereal, fruit, milk, yogurt, pancakes and french toast.
Snacks – fruits, vegetables, crackers, cheese, milk, juice. Lunchtime – chicken, turkey, beef, pasta, soup and whole grains. Upon request we will only serve vegetarian meals and snacks to your child. We are nut, fish and pork free environment. Let us know of any food allergies so we can accommodate your child.
Our Child Nutrition Department provides USDA recommended guidelines for our breakfast, lunch, and snack. It is our goal to provide healthy meals to all of the children daily. If you have a child(ren) with special dietary needs, we will need a completed medical statement form for your child’s file. The form can be obtained from the Early Learning Center office. The form must be updated annually.
Word of God Early Learning Center promotes a Peanut, Egg, Fish, and Pork Free Environment.
